The Wilmslow Health centre website issues the following guidance
‘ General Practice is in crisis. Patient safety is at risk. Demand for GP appointments is outstripping supply. There are simply not enough GPs. Patients should be able to consult their GP when needed. GPs want to deliver this, but the system is in crisis.’ if you are in doubt when you arrive you will see a video in the reception area showing stressed doctors confirming the above and talking about their mental health having to see 40 patients a day.
Patients are at risk. . If you have a serious and concerning set of symptoms and want to see your doctor the wait is three weeks. All very concerning .
5 months I asked for help you did nothing! Expect put my life in danger! You are a disgrace!
The receptionists are very helpful. I can usually get an appointment within a week (which is fine as not urgent).
A telephone consultation is appropriate for a pain review.
I know of several surgeries in the area that have unfriendly & difficult receptionists and poor booking systems which has never been the case at Wilmslow.
I couldn't ask for a more caring and helpful service. Dr Brennan, Dr Ahmed , Dr Ahmad and Dr Hitchen are wonderful ( I haven't had any interactions with the otherGPs)
Confirmation of appoint by email and texts are confusing
